Visitors at the office!

Around 50 students and five teachers from AHO and EPFL (Lausanne) visited us on February 15.
They were on a studytrip to Northern Norway and Spitsbergen in relation to the semester course "Studio for production of architecture - a territorial and architectural constitution of Barents Sea". 
Gisle gave a lecture on "Planning on the edge of the melting ice".

Territorial Practices

The Landscapes in Change conference we organized during last year's Arctic Frontiers will be followed up. This year in collaboration with AHO the side conference on planning, landscape and architecture is called Territorial Practices and takes place 26 January at Tromsø University.
The main conference theme this year is Energies of the High North, taking place 22 - 27 January 2012, Tromsø - more info and registration: Arctic Frontiers

update: upgrade

Update: although the client was very pleased with the cabin we have upgraded it - with a door. This adds a whole new dimension to the project (knock-knock etc), and keeps the sheep out.
