Exploring the new notion of urban vulnerability, resilience and response is the title of the session at Storbykonferensen 2021 where Gisle participates with the lecture “New horizons for urban development” – Sustainable countermeasures against forty years of neo-liberal urban development in coastal cities Wednesday October 27.

We are proud to be part of the winning dream team with our proposal Čoarvemátta for the new Sámi National Theatre & the Sámi High School and Reindeer Herding School in Kautokeino: Beaivváš Sámi Našunála Teáhter & Sami joatkkaskuvla ja boazodoalloskuvla.

The project is developed together with Snøhetta, artist Joar Nango and Econor for Beaivváš Sámi Našunála Teáhter, Sami joatkkaskuvla ja boazodoalloskuvla, Statsbygg. 

From the jury report: 'Prosjektet Čoarvemátta har lyktes å skape et helhetlig samisk kulturuttrykk som er svært godt egnet for bruken. Det er tatt i bruk både visuelle symboler og godt tilrettelagte arealer inne og ute for utøvelse av samiske tradisjoner i en stedstilpasset kontekst. Prosjektet har en svært god løsning for ivaretakelse av et samisk kulturuttrykk.'
