it's alive!

Kystens Hus / new Domus is in the newspapers again, or watch it on nordlys TV! - being commented by an enthusiastic mayor, Arild Hausberg..

(In the same newspaper you can also read an intelligent comment on urban planning in Tromsø written by Lars Echroll.)

urban mountain

The Karl Johan project takes form and from the opposite sidewalk you have a nice view of.. the Fløya mountain, reflected into busy Grønnegata.

arctic visit

We got a visit from Mike Jacobs and students from Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University in New York. They are travelling the high north researching the realities of the arctic; climate changes, wildlife protection, oil and gass reserves, territorial claims.. We hope that you'll have a nice stay in Tromsø, and that you'll come up with creative solutions in your projects!

home alone - together

The great art students with friends invited to this extraordinary hjemme alene party this week-end. We say thank you for working hard for art, and for the café interior - perfect for deep architecture discussions!

love, love, love

Happy people filled the old ice cellar, Kjeller5, as the first Pecha Kucha Night Tromsø ever took place. Beautiful, creative presentors gave their best, music and ambiance was added by the mighty mega benoni, beer war supplied by Mack and Ølhallen and the crowd added a lot of positivity and enthusiasm to it - a success we believe!
This was made possible by a wonderful collaboration with the tank heroes, lovely Mack people, Dr M of course, sweet PKN + KDa Tokyo collaborators, Luxo and a bunch of other supportive great people.
See you all soon again!

(PS: don't forget tonight's opening at Hjemme Alene!)
